Man goes into a liquor store...
« on: July 07, 2014, 01:00:33 PM »
A man went into a liquor store and asked the cashier for a bottle of whiskey, two bottles of vodka, and a case of beer.

The cashier fills the order, takes the man's money, and as he is bagging the items says: "Sir, it is not my place to say anything, but you are in here just about everyday and I think you might have an addiction problem."

The man picks up his bags and starts to walk away, deep in thought.  Just before he reaches the door, he stops, turns back and says "You know, I think you're right!  I am addicted to shopping!"

"FAITH is when you have come to the edge of all the light that you know and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown... Faith is knowing that one of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught how to fly."

recovery offers us the promise of freedom from active addiction but to get that promise takes effort on our part
